In April 2016, UTC Aerospace Systems, a unit of United Technologies Corporation signed a contract with Small Planet Airlines to retrofit fluorescent lighting systems installed on their Airbus A320 fleet with LED cabin wash lighting systems. These new lighting systems installed on Small Planet Airlines are expected to help them in branding through personalized cabin color scenes and securing healthy share in the cabin lighting market.

In February 2016, Diehl Stiftung & Co. KG signed a contract with Boeing in the past and based on the contract, Boeing offered more work to Diehl, which includes cabin ceiling and doorway lining parts for 787-10. Diehl is working on Boeing 787-8, 787-9, and 787-10 for cabin lighting systems and actuator control electronics.

In February 2016, Honeywell International will be supplying Japanís P-1 aircraft with various systems, such as exterior and interior lighting systems, personal oxygen units, and ram air turbines. The company will be installing these systems on 20 aircraft. This contract is expected to make Honeywell the largest non-Japanese supplier for P-1 aircraft in Japan.
