MnM’s client is the global leader in silicones, quartz, and ceramics with about 70 years of experience in silicone business. The company offers huge assortment of silicone elastomers such as high consistency silicone rubber (HCR), liquid silicone rubber (LSR), and room temperature vulcanization rubber (RTV). The client engaged MnM to assist on the following aspects:

1. To provide detailed market assessment and extensive analysis of LSR and HCR silicone elastomers customers in the target APAC countries: China, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, and South Korea
2. To provide current data at country level and current & projected market data for each type of elastomer for each customer in consideration, inclusive of product & processing details and end-use industry details and respective consumption details

MnM APPROACH

1. Methodology Adopted by MnM: MnM carried out a detailed search of the public domain and its proprietary and non-proprietary database on silicone elastomers, specifically on LSR and HCR silicone elastomers, to orient the project and develop the industry structure (including manufacturers/suppliers, distributors, dealers, associations, regulatory authorities, and so on). MnM carried out in-depth primary interviews with various knowledge sources to develop between 90%–95% of the key information required for completing the project. Major knowledge sources were manufacturers/suppliers of raw materials, distributors, institutions (associations, regulatory authorities, etc.), and independent consultants & industry experts along with the customers of target silicone elastomers.
2. Actual Solution Provided: MnM executed the project with right and scheduled approach and delivered the following solutions based on client requirement:

• Detailed assessment and analysis of silicone elastomers market in the target APAC countries based on different end-use industries such as automotive, consumer goods, healthcare, energy, consumer, and E/E markets and product type.
• Qualitative and quantitative data/inputs of silicone elastomers suppliers in the target APAC countries for HCR and LSR product type.
• Qualitative and quantitative data/inputs of silicone elastomers customers in the target APAC countries for HCR and LSR product type.

Given the survey and extensive primary research-based nature of the project, MnM was able to provide the required quality inputs within the stipulated time frame and delivered value in terms of the following aspects:

• MnM’s client was able to comprehend the actual scenario of silicone elastomers products, end-use industries-, their consumption, key trends, drivers, restraints, etc. in the target APAC countries.
• The client was also able to procure required qualitative and quantitative details of key manufacturers/suppliers, customers, and distributors of the target silicone elastomers in the APAC countries.
