Business Challenge
This assignment was conducted for a leading oxygen business company involving different aspects of commercial aircraft oxygen systems. The client’s objective was to understand the product market with detailed insights into competitors’ offerings in terms of marketing and product positioning. The client also wanted to understand the key market dynamics of the oxygen system market. The project analyzed product ratings and offered a comparison of different types of oxygen systems for new product development.
MnM Approach
The research study involved scanning through company websites, annual reports, corporate presentations, and SEC filings to get a holistic view of the aircraft oxygen ecosystem. Next step was to compare client’s current offering vis-à-vis that of competition in passenger and crew oxygen system product line. A detailed analysis of the gathered data was then done to identify strengths and weaknesses of the product and individual features that mattered most to the end user. The MnM research team finally did a deep-dive assessment of underlying competitiveness, industry structure, and product and customer profitability in a number of selected markets.
