Various continuous innovations in MRI have led to the development of more efficient MRI which is more efficient and can be used in various other applications such as Breast MRI. The high-field MRI provides the benefit of higher signal-to-noise ratio, contrast-to-noise ratios, and spectral resolution for certain applications. These benefits result in higher resolution, faster scan, and allow clinicians to have a better view of smaller anatomical structures and lesions. The Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Market was expected to be around $3.84 billion in the year 2010 and is expected to increase to $4.76 billion in 2016 with a CAGR of around 3.55% from 2011 to 2016. Two types of MRI currently existing in the market are Open MRI and Closed MRI. Unlike the conventional closed MRI, open MRI doesn’t have narrow tunnel for passing through and doesn’t produce loud noise and therefore decreases anxiety and discomfort substantially.
