Sales Transformation within a Large Enterprise

Today, enterprises need to constantly evolve and change to keep pace with changing marketplace dynamics as well as constantly shifting client priorities. This is increasingly made difficult by the fact that the pace of change is nothing but linear and sometimes tectonic, upending business models of our clients in some industries. Given that our clients are going through such times, it is absolutely critical that a sales organization in a large enterprise has the innate ability to discover, adapt, and respond to this constantly changing environment with skills, talent and experiences that keep them ahead of the curve and be able to predict customer needs before anyone else does.

We have approached this challenge, by hiring new sales talent and training them to understand and predict customer's digital needs, reskill talent to ensure relevance in the context of established client relationships and continue to infuse millennial, digital-native talent to existing sales teams.

This session will examine how a combination of these transformative changes to a large sales organization, can bring unprecedented success when it comes to scaling mega accounts, closing a recond number of net-new large deals in a predictable fashion every quarter and open new accounts with disruptive digital propositions that can scale.

Time to ditch Asimov's Three Laws of Robotics: how to be lawful, ethical, safe and happy in the AI world

Any good framework for lawful, ethical, safe and happy AI must be as universal and practical as possible. It should focus on the "here and now", but also on realistic and foreseeable regulatory, ethical and legal developments. It must take in the whole AI deployment lifecycle and consider who is involved in the creation, exploitation and deployment of AI technologies. And it should be actionable. Unfortunately, this means avoiding fascinating philosophical "what ifs", like how cognitive AI might be programmed or teach itself to reach decisions based on human or other ethical computations (see http://moralmachine.mit.edu/ for conundrums in driverless-car AI).

So what I will deliver to you today is an actionable framework to manage the current and foreseeable legal, regulatory, ethical, operational, counterparty, IPR exploitation and reputational risks of AI.

And you will learn what monkey selfies have to do with AI.

PPP - The Public, the Private & the Politics of delivery

Over the last 20 years I have had the privilege to have a foot in the private sector, the public sector and the political world - all the while aiming to drive better delivery, greater innovation and the best value for money for us, the taxpayers. I will highlight some of the major programmes I've been involved in including the Oystercard, the London 2012 Olympics and Crossrail, and discuss the challenges, the learnings and the success when you hit the PPP sweet spot!

How to build your teams of the future.

VALIDATING INVESTMENT DECISIONS IN CONNECTED MARKETS AMID DISRUPTIONS FROM OUTSIDE INDUSTRIES

Market dynamics are constantly shifting and the only constant in interconnected markets is change. How can leaders cut through the noise of the impacts of disruption and evolution in adjacent industries to assess the true impacts of their organizational decisions not only on their internal business but on other potential markets and opportunities that could create future unanticipated revenue opportunities?

BUILDING AND LEVERAGING ECOSYSTEMS TO ADJUST TO DYNAMIC MARKET CHANGES. CAN THIS BEST BE DONE INTERNALLY OR THROUGH LEVERAGED PARTNERSHIPS?

As markets and ecosystems continue to develop and converge, it becomes increasingly difficult to remain a "lone wolf" in your business. Partnerships and collaborations are increasingly becoming the necessary means to get to market faster and more effectively. THE CURSE OF INFORMATION OVERLOAD AND THE JOURNEY TOWARDS SINGLE SOURCE OF TRUTH

There's just too much information to process these days. From cereal aisles in your local grocery store to market intelligence reports, there is a just an overwhelming amount of information to assimilate and retain. It is important as a leader to not only differentiate between useful and useless information but also take your teams on the journey towards a single source of truth in the organization. What are the various strategies one can employ to achieve clarity, retain meaningful information and avoid making counter-productive associations?
