Viasat, Inc. is an America-based communications company. It is a provider of high-speed satellite broadband services and secure networking systems covering military and commercial markets. In November 2020, Viasat UK Ltd. provided ultra-high frequency (UHF) satellite communications (SATCOM) for the new Type 31 frigates delivered by Babcock Team 31 for the Royal Navy.

In May 2021, Hughes Network Systems announced that the company and OneWeb were selected by the US Air Force Research Lab (AFRL) to demonstrate managed LEO satellite communications (SATCOM) services to connect the Arctic region to sites across the world.
