Bühler, in December 2017, used expansions as its major strategy to strengthen its R&D capacities. It opened a new state-of-the-art application center in Alzenau, Germany, to serve its customers in the thin-film industry. This center has a testing area, a high-tech laboratory, and an R&D area, featuring the latest thin-film solutions from Bühler Leybold Optics, a subsidiary of Bühler.
