Government’s Safety Regulations are Playing a Major Role in Driving the Demand for GASD Devices

The Government’s across the globe are passing strict policies and regulations to improve human safety measures. Safety parameters at the combustion and gas producing industries play a vital role and many companies are looking for efficient devices to monitor the safety conditions at work.

In 2012, the oil and gas leak at BP Plc’s ULA platform in Norway occurred due to improper maintenance, Many incidents such as the gas leak from a German chemical plant in India, chlorine and hydrofluoric acid gas leakage in South Korea’s chemical plant and chip manufacturing facility, gas leak at a French chemical plant and other minor accidents were reported in 2012. To avoid these accidents which pose a threat to labor life and cause economic loss to the companies, individual local governments are putting forward strict rules and regulations. The ongoing trend of reducing greenhouse gases which at present is followed by most of the countries is expected to have a positive impact on the demand for gas monitoring devices such as detectors and analyzers. In addition, the global GASD market is emerging with a positive growth due to the increasing applications in oil & gas, chemicals, buildings & construction, health care, food & beverages, and water treatment. Notably, the strong demand from construction industry especially in Asia-Pacific region is driving the global GASD market to a large extent.
