Robert Bosch GmbH (Germany) and Continental AG (Germany) are the Key Players in the In-Dash Navigation System Market

Factors such as increasing demand for safety and comfort features, government norms and regulations, and increasing demand for fleet management services have boosted the market for in-dash navigation systems. The global in-dash navigation system market is projected to grow at a CAGR of 12.74% from 2017 to 2022, to reach USD 17.53 Billion by 2022.

The in-dash navigation system market is dominated by a few global players and comprises of several regional players. The key players that provide hardware and software for in-dash navigation system are Robert Bosch GmbH (Germany), Continental AG (Germany), Harman International (U.S.), and Delphi Automotive PLC (U.K.). New product development is the key strategy adopted by these players to gain traction in the in-dash navigation system market. For instance, in 2017, Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. introduced ‘Snapdragon X16 LTE modem’ that transmits fast and reliable data required for navigation and connected car technologies. This LTE modem would be integrated with the company’s ‘Connected Car Reference Platform’ to offer advanced connectivity solutions.
