It undertook a few expansion activities to enhance its business. It also invested increasingly its R&D laboratory in Shanghai to bring together its key technologies under one roof for synergies and resource sharing in technical developments.
As a part of its business strategy, SABIC focuses on developing new products so as to differentiate its products from its competitors. It also participates in various conferences and exhibitions to highlight its products and technologies. It started a plant in the Middle East, adding to its PC capacity. The company undertook a few expansion activities to increase its geographic footprint. It signed contracts for capacity with native Chinese players to increase its PC capacity.
