Hybrid VNAs Asia & Europe Are the New Growth Avenues
Several healthcare organizations are embracing vendor neutral archives (VNAs) owing to the technological and cost benefits that these solutions offer over as compared to PACS. The technology is aimed at delivering a patient-centric and standard-based image management and storage solution, which is attracting new end users. Thus, the VNA players that were typically focused at providing end-to-end solutions to large healthcare organizations are now shifting their focus to small and medium-sized hospitals as well.
Considering this, hybrid VNA solutions are known to be a better fit for these small and medium hospitals owing to their cost effectiveness. Moreover, with the growing need for disaster recovery solutions, putting all second copies of images on the cloud reduces costs significantly as the capital expenditure involved in establishing a secondary data center is greatly decreased.
