Structural Foam Market by Material (Polyethylene, Polypropylene, Polystyrene, Polyurethane & Others), by Application (Material Handling, Building & Construction, Automotive, Electrical & Electronics, & Others) and by Region - Trends and Forecasts to 2020
Structural foams are thermoplastic products that have a cellular foamed core with a solid skin surrounding the core. It is generally developed through a form of injection molding (structural foam molding) process using a chemical blowing agent or inert gas such as nitrogen and carbon dioxide. While structural foam molding usually employs a low pressure process with injection pressure, generally ranging from 3,000 to 6,000 PSI, high pressure injection is also used to mold structural foams. The major input materials used for manufacturing structural foam are polypropylene, polyethylene, polystyrene, and polyurethane among others. Structural foam is significantly lighter than solid plastic products, having a high strength-to-weight ratio and low-cost tooling. The structural foam market is projected to reach $31.9 Billion by 2020, signifying firm annualized growth of ~6% between 2015 and 2020.

Marine Insulation Market by Type (Mineral Wool, Fiberglass, Polyurethane foam, Ceramic Fiber Blanket), Application (Shell, Bulkhead, Deck, Others), and Region - Global Forecast to 2030
The marine insulation market is projected to reach USD 447.9 million by 2030, at a CAGR of 4.2% from USD 322.3 million in 2022. Marine insulation refers to the items or systems that are used to preserve and sustain the process conditions of deep-sea drilling and exploration equipment, joints, and pipes. Thermal insulation beneath the sea protects flow lines and equipment from corrosion, keeps the flow temperature constant, and keeps foreign particles out. The dynamics of offshore drilling activities across the world have a big impact on market demand for marine insulation. Furthermore, as ultra-deep water drilling activities increase, the demand for insulation products that can endure the extreme conditions found at deeper horizons is projected to drive the market for marine insulation.
